While it can be tricky retaining authenticity while writing about a period so removed from her experiences, she has gotten better with each novel. Since she writes historical romance novels, she often has to do a lot of research as she usually creates her settings and then collates a reference library for the novel so that she can cross check details as she is writing.
Still, what she likes to read the most are the historical romances, which is perhaps why so many of her novels are in the genre.
